Cats and Eggs....

Could there be a more perfectly pitched gift for me?! Cats, cute imagery and boiled eggs are all things that I love and these have performed a hat-trick of delight!

My lovely friend Johanna gave me these gorgeous Donna Wilson Cat egg cups for my birthday and I am thrilled to bits, not only were the egg cups perfect but the packaging was also lovely, little brown cardboard boxes with cat stickers on..... so nice.

I cannot wait to have my Saturday morning boiled eggs in these lovely things!

my lovely presents...

I have been spoilt rotten this year and consider myself a very lucky girl, I have been taken out for dinner and lunch, been bought a balloon (!), been baked a cake by a lovely co-worker and been given lots of lovely presents, my girls are very good at taking note of my hints!

I was very happy to receive this brilliant necklace for my birthday last January, it is by one of my favourite ever jewellery designers , Tatty Devine, and was given to me by my two lovely friends Anwen and Claudia - I love it :)

a desire to bake....

This morning I woke with a strong desire to bake cupcakes with a summery twist - and thus the following variations were born!

I shall follow up with the recipes (as I adapted them) in a post to follow, they are great little cakes for afternoon tea.... or just as an indulgent little treat!
