Lovely Little Lauren....

Firstly....

WOW.

I have just discovered the work of THIS very clever little lady called Lauren Carney, and have fallen in love with her illustrative style and the sense of humour within her work.

I haven't seen anything so fresh and fun for such a long time, I love the colours she uses and am now craving one of her lovely prints to put up on my wall and make me smile whenever I see it :D

They are all lovely but here are my favourites....


Buck Teef - this is so pretty and I'm a massive fan of any kind of bunny situation so this is a perfect one for me :)


I Like You - 'nuff said really, I like everything about this one, and there is so much detail, what's not to like?!

Pop Culture - All I'm saying is, someone needs to make that Bill Murray T-shirt immediately, I want one!


RAR! - The colours quite literally make my brain happy, dee-lish!

An unbelievably lovely Podcast by the mighty Crazy P in its entirety, but also featuring an amazing remix of Kylie Minogue's 'Hand on your Heart' by Jose Gonzalez and remixed by Ron Basejam, you can find it at around 16 minutes into the podcast, one of the most successful covers I have ever heard I think!

Nerdalicious....

This made me smile so much, yesterday my lovely assistant Claudia opened up her office drawer next to me and as I glanced inside I spotted these little beauties :-)

How amazingly nerdy yet incredibly cute - I just had to take a photograph!

The studded bag....

Finally - this is so long overdue, I wrote a post about this project ages ago and I have been using this bag for months and I kept forgetting to photograph it, but I must say it is probably the most useful bag I have ever had - it is just the right size and yet I can fit so much in it without it breaking my shoulder, and the studs protect it from all the nastiness on the floor when you put it down.

It is incredibly easy to attach the studs, all you need to do is plot where your studs will go, and then measure and punch the holes in the leather base with a thick needle or scalpel and push the prongs on the back through the holes, then use a pair of pliers or something solid to push down the prongs so they lie flush with the base of the bag, and you are ready to go!

If you like you could also make an insert for the base of the bag from a piece of thick card covered with a fabric sleeve, to cover the prongs inside and give it a bit more structure.
